new album by the awe inspiring nick cave and the bad seeds; push the sky away.

from what i've heard and read, it'll be a more somber, subtle album than those of the last decade... which were more focused on loud, pervy garage rock. the album is also the first to not feature mick harvey, so warren ellis has effectively become the entire backing influence to nick. his use of atmosphere and tape loops, (particularly on the violin) are pretty evident on this first track.
i'll be really, really gay over this over the next couple months. not that anyone will end up reading this thread...
also, a tour was announced the australia and the states. i'll post the dates later, but i'll be catching a few of the shows.
