I like it. I'm surprised I like it because An Omen EP got stale really fast for me. But tracks like "Too late, all gone" and "Strings and attractors" are top notch. Also like the title track and am still digesting the rest. I sort of wish they never released An Omen EP now.
I mean, nothing has blown my mind on Welcome Oblivion but it's not terrible and I enjoy it enough that I'll probably pre-order the vinyl with white label CD. I just have to accept that this is not Nine Inch Nails and I shouldn't expect it to sound like NIN or be on the same level as NIN.
But I have to wonder... would I give a shit or like ANY of it if TR wasn't involved?

check it, CH
they start somewhere around 8hr55min or so. not a bad performance... literally sounds like mixing late NIN and portishead

on a quick tangent, i know i got into this band solely because of TR's involvement, but i think i would definitely have them on the rotation even if he wasn't.... though i'm very into the low-fi trip hop stuff, and this style of industrial. of course, then we'd have the problem with it being labelled a horrific NIN ripoff because trent wouldn't be there
